So, for those that weren’t in the loop on what I’ve been doing the last few months here’s an update:

Back in November, I applied for Social Security disability benefits on account of my major depression and bipolar disorders. Late last month I was informed that my claim was denied because they believed I could still work in an environment with limited social interaction. It was at that time I decided to forego an appeal and instead try to get on with my life. So after consulting with family and a few friends, yesterday (the 15th), I submitted a job application for a support staff position with the State of Ohio Legislative Service Commission. LSC is an agency that provides technical and other services to the Ohio General Assembly.

I’ve also decided to return to school and complete a degree in web development as well.

tldr: getting a job, going to school.

For about the past month I’ve been working on a project that a friend got me started on. The project? Take one photo every day for 365 (366 this year) days. I decided that I would add onto that myself by selecting one photo from each month (P365 or not) to showcase as my best photo from said month.

This is a photo of the Downtown Columbus, Ohio skyline as seen from North Bank Park. It did not make the cut for my P365 photo for January 30th because, well, when you climb to the top of a mountain (albeit only a 200 foot one), the photos you take up there generally take priority over something easily obtained.

Regardless, this is January’s photo of the month.
